Access to Elysian Luxury Eco Island Retreat is a scenic journey by air or sea
Guests can arrive via a 10-minute helicopter flight from either Hamilton Island or Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach, enjoying a private flight over the picturesque Whitsunday Islands and Conway National Park.
For those who prefer to travel by boat, the transfer from Shute Harbour takes approximately 30 minutes, while boat transfers from Hamilton Island take about 45 minutes. Our boats are berthed at Shute Harbour Marine Terminal, which is 20 minutes from Airlie Beach. We operate boat transfers in and out of Shute Harbour for $350 each way.
Boat transfers from Hamilton Island are available at any tide by taking the Cruise Whitsundays ferry from Hamilton Island Airport to Daydream Island. Upon arrival at Daydream Island, our SeaLegs Amphibious Vessel will be waiting to collect you. The ferry ride to Daydream Island takes 45 minutes, followed by a private 30-minute transfer to Elysian. The total cost for this transfer is $456 each way for two guests, which includes $45 per person for the Cruise Whitsundays ferry, an $8 per person Daydream Island entrance fee, and $350 for the private SeaLegs transfer to Elysian.
For direct boat transfers from Hamilton Island to Elysian Retreat, a high tide is necessary for the third-party operator, Freedom Charters, to access our bay. This service is priced at $575 each way, with an additional $90 for a private transfer from Hamilton Island Airport to the main marina.

We strongly urge all guests to obtain travellers insurance for your stay with us. Elysian Retreat will not be held liable or offer a refund for travel disruptions due weather or other unprecedented events impacting your ability to meet your booking.

We sincerely regret to inform you that Elysian Retreat is not equipped to accommodate guests with wheelchairs. This is primarily due to the unanticipated nature of a potential helicopter evacuation and our environmental constraints preventing the construction of a jetty or wharf. We deeply apologise for any inconvenience this may pose to individuals with mobility requirements.
